Rev. Adam Marquette email@example.com
Hello. I am Rev. Adam Marquette. I was born and raised in Stow, Ohio. Growing up, I experienced God’s love and grace through my church family at the United Presbyterian Church in Cuyahoga Falls, where four generations of my family worshiped together. It was during this time with this beloved community that I experienced my call to ministry. The journey began with an undergraduate degree, from the University of Akron in Physical Education (while it didn’t help with Biblical courses, I have relied on my PE degree throughout my time in ministry). Along the way I met Cecilia and together we have had four beautiful children, Charolette, Bird, Sadie, and Judson. After graduating from the University of Akron, I attended Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio, while serving as the Director of Youth Ministry at The Bath Church UCC. In 2007, I graduated from Winebrenner and the realization that God was calling me to the United Church of Christ began. As the youth and family involvement at the Bath Church grew, so did my role. In 2009, I was licensed and then ordained in 2011, and have served as the Associate Minister for Youth and Family Life since that time.
Jane Ross, Director of Music firstname.lastname@example.org
Jane has been a Wadsworth resident for 47 years. She is a retired music educator from Medina County Schools and has been a long-term substitute at Buckeye Jr. High, an adjunct instructor at Ashland University, and has served as Director of Music at First Christian Church before coming to Trinity United Church of Christ.
Rod Livingston, Interim Organist
Rod studied organ under Farley Hutchins, the head of the organ department at the University of Akron. Later, he furthered his organ studies under Barbara Jones MacGregor, who had studied under some of the leading organists of Europe. He accepted his first church organist position at Westlawn United Methodist Church just before he turned 18. After two years in that position, he became organist/director when the choir director resigned to accept the director position at a larger church. Two years later, he resigned this position to attend graduate school at Ohio State, after which he spent four years in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his return from active duty, Rod accepted the organist position at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church. Two years later, he once again became organist/director when the choir director resigned to accept the director position at a larger church. After several more years at Moore, he resigned to become the organist at Wadsworth First Christian, where he spent 35 years as organist. He also thanks his wife Carol, who has suffered through many decades of long hours of organ practice and preparation, and who is a page turner extraordinaire. Rod would never have succeeded as an organist without Carol’s unending love and support.
