The Trinity Concert Series provides for the Wadsworth community performances by professional musicians three times throughout the year. The performances are held in our sanctuary and are followed by a “Meet the Musician” cookie and punch reception in the Narthex. Trinity Concert Series performances are free to everyone in the community. A free-will offering is accepted at each concert and patron contributions are encouraged.
Jack Schantz Jazz Quartet Sunday, February 3, 2019 4:00 pm
The Jack Schantz Jazz Quartet’s program will feature modern re-interpretations of many familiar hymns and spirituals from the Protestant tradition. Trumpeter Jack Schantz, Professor and Coordinator of Jazz Studies at The University of Akron, will be assisted by pianist Rock Wehrmann, bassist Tim Powell and drummer Mark Gonder. They have performed numerous times throughout the region to great acclaim.
Heidelberg University Concert Choir Thursday, May 9, 2019 7:00 pm
The Heidelberg University Concert Choir’s concert theme is “Oh! The Places You’ll Go”. The concert seeks to honor the musical heritages of Hungary, the Czech Republic and the United States. Repertoire will include selections by Lajos Bardos, Gyorgy Orban, Antonin Dvorak and William Billings; folk songs and spirituals; and American popular music.
The Heimat Quartet Sunday, October 13, 2019 4:00 pm
Heimat in German means being un-alienated to ones surrounding – in a sense, feeling at home. The Heimat Quartet strives to share their home with others in the concert hall and community through the amazing repertoire of the string quartet. The Heimat Quartet was founded during the fall of 2014 in Boston, MA. All avid chamber musicians, each player brings a wide array of experience and renewed energy to both the string quartet genre and the group.
